We were assigned to the last assignment of this subject this week. Sir asked each group to come to the front, and then he explained carefully. This assignment is called Typographic Self-Portrait. This is an individual project and we are required to create a A4 poster that represents us as a person and a designer. We are required to use expressive type, like name/initials and characteristics or personality.

This was my first draft, but sir thinks that this is too simple. He told me to focus on the text, only the text will be given marks, all the backgrounds are not that important. He asked me to play with the texts and fonts.
This was my final postcard, I changed everything including the quotes, design and composition. Now, I understood what sir actually wants on this assignment, and he approved my postcard.
During this week's lecture class, we learned communication research. We were taught to use text size, colour and contrast, typographic hierarchy and spacing to catch viewer's attention.

On lecture class this week, we learned syntax and communication. We learned about visual hierarchy and why it is important in design. Visual hierarchy organizes elements to guide the viewer's eye, size and scale, colour and contrast, leading lines, spacing and rule of thirds to prioritize information.
